![]() ![]() All the other pages are full pages with 2 sheets side by side to print on regular paper. There is one per page that I would suggest printing on cardstock. Everything that fits into the binder is simply half of a sheet of paper.Īs mentioned above, I created covers for each section. Month at a glance – calendar (will add more months at the end of the year) Receipts – to keep track of what you spent and where it went, also to return if needed Gift list – to jot down gift ideas, budget, etc But I’m excited about this layout:īinder cover – print out, cut out and slide into the cover and the spine of your mini album You might not be able to see it if you are seeing this post in a reader. I made a GIF below to see all of the images in one spot. ![]() Mini Sheet Protectors – to slide things intoīinder Pockets – used for the receipt sectionĭividers – if you’d rather not print out mine and laminate them, use these Mini Binder (in blue- they didn’t have red, sorry!) Other items that can be purchased at your office supply store or bought online: Bet she didn’t get a duplicate gift of that! I even bought one for my kid’s teacher for the holidays after she briefly mentioned that they didn’t have access to one at school. Although I bought tabbed dividers, I ended up making my own using files, printed on cardstock, laminated and cut out. I figured I’d make another mini and use it somehow. I found a cute patterned mini binder (lots to choose from) but I love the look of the plain red too. I found everything I needed at Target but saw the same supplies at Office Max too. All comments on that post said GO MINI! I’m here to give the people what they want. But I wasn’t sure if it’s realistic and would be hard to find. My thought in a mini binder is that it will fit nicely in your purse to take with you. I asked on Instagram if people would prefer a full size binder or a mini binder. Bonus! You know my love of binders by now, right? See links below of the other printables for binders that I’ve created. So… how about a holiday binder to keep on task for this season? And it’s good for year around too because it has a section for birthdays, anniversaries and a calendar. If the first half of this year is any indication, the next few months will fly by. That’s it – done! You have an easy DIY advent calendar that looks so great.I know. Fill each pot with your little treat and place the tree on top. ![]() Spray them gold – best to put them in a disposable cardboard box or similar otherwise they fly around when you spray as they’re so light.įinally take your number stickers (if using) and stick them on. They make the perfect little pots to balance the trees on and of course to put your little gifts in. I had them at home as I’ve used them in the past for Anya’s birthday parties to serve ketchup. They’re called soufflé cups and cost very little for loads of them. Next take your mini paper cups – these are the little paper cups that you fill with ketchup and mayo. I blu-tacked each fold of all the trees as I found that they flared out too much otherwise, and didn’t stand up quite as well as I wanted them to. Follow the tutorial exactly but I added one more step. I didn’t even need to look at the instructions after the 5th or 6th tree. It was a bit tricky at first but after the 2nd or 3rd tree it was really easy so stick with it. I followed an origami tree tutorial that I found online. Mini number stickers (or you could hand write the numbers on) Mini paper cups – they’re called souffle or sauce cups Origami paper – you can choose any colour but I went for two shades of green But of course I needed to find a place for the gifts and what better place than under the trees? So I thought why not make a forest of mini Christmas trees and that’s exactly what happened. I was drawn to origami as I chanced across some lovely matt origami paper in a deep green. This year I’ve made my diy advent calendar a bit earlier as I wanted to share it with you sooner and I hope you like it. Of course I was going to make her another one, just not in June! I think the advent calendar may have been her favourite part of Christmas which is just as much about the build-up as it is about the day. She loved opening those boxes so much and since about June of this year she has been regularly asking when she could have another advent calendar. ![]() Last year the advent calendar I made for Anya was a huge hit. ![]()
